What We Do ? { Awareness program for the rehabilitation program for disabled children }
Disability in our context considered that the children with disabilities need special care and sympathies but according to AIM’s approach we have started the awareness program that the children with different disabilities are part of the society and considered them as the members have the inputs for societal and country development. Educate and train them as the doing for the normal people rather of sympathies. AIM started this program on the limited scale due lacking resources, but are hopeful for the expansion if we have resources.

Planning with Handicap People & Local Community

Community of Khurianwala (Tehsil Jaranwala and district Faisalabad) is at the distance of 25 kms from Faisalabad at Lahore-Faisalabad road. Community of Khurianwala approached to AIM centre and shared the problem of services for handicap people.

  • No physiotherapy centre in the area.
  • They have to approach Faisalabad, which only have commercial such centres which is beyond the financial potential of the community.
  • Community shared that they all are daily wage and permanent labourer, their handicap people cannot approach centres in Faisalabad themselves they need care takers which further involve them in economic problems because care takers may have leaves without wages.

 Community agreed upon following aspects

    1. Community provided land of 30X45 sq.ft for centre establishment
    2. Community shared they will also work as the unskilled labour or may share money equivalent   to daily labour.
    3. Community also shared to provide volunteers.
    4. Community also provides supervisors.
    5. Community shared they will get services for the subsidized rates.

AIM will contribute technical staff and furniture for this project. AIM needed your support for the realization of project.
