AIM team started the mobilization of
community of Nazir colony in March 1997.The men by
profession are daily wage labours, keeps donkey and mule
carts and some have small shops. Women remain at home
with domestic activities. The communities lack awareness
for the education of their children. They shared with
the AIM’s team that they never feel any advantages, if
their children have education; even they are not ready
with some incentives. AIM’s team was successful to
motivate the parents to send the children without having
the books, uniform or even without school fee. With
their regular interaction and motivation of the parents
permitted their children to attend the school. Now, this
school attain the status of middle school (up-to grade
8).Parents are managing the expenses for school books,
uniform and other needs. Now, the school has 217
(December 08, 2004) children 75% females and 25% males).Parents are also
contributing Rs.25($ 0.43) per month/child. Mothers are
discussing the situation of their children in relation
to their academic and moral development. What they and
their children experience problems. What they suggest to
the school team for further development of the school.
AIM also registered this school as the middle for girls
upon the need and demand of the mothers. Mothers have
meeting with AIM’s school team on weekly basis.
