AIM
understands regarding gender:
Focusing
on the social relations between men and women, in
contrast with a focus on sex differences or with a
concern with women. It has the aim for parity between
the sexes as central to the empowerment process.
GENDER
DIAGNOSIS:
Man has the power and the dominating person of the
society. He enjoying all things of his life but women is
still facing the problems and her work is usually
informal, unacknowledged badly paid and carried out in
harsh conditions. That is why we feel the need to
diagnose this difference in these areas by using our own
methods not traditional methods. Because in traditional
methods when any information and statistical data has
been needed then it given by the male and he counts
himself the breadwinner and the household head. He
neglects the other important person of his house and his
information considers the comprehensive and real data
about that house. In fact this method is totally wrong
because in this method women can not participate and she
cannot explain her problems and needs. This method is
only one sided because given information has the
importance and considered the real data. The division of
labour between men and women is not equal. Women are
discriminated against when it comes to sharing the
inheritance because they receive only half the men’s
share. Women can not own land, neither on their
father’s side nor on their husband's side. It is her
right to be treated like men because women have the same
intellectual capacities as men.
But in
our method both women and men are the participants of
this procedure and they have the opportunity to talk on
their existed problems and needs. Male and female
coordinator has the duty to visit to every home and
collect data about that house and then to make some
strategies to eliminate discrimination between men and
women. She will take a positive step for her recognition
in society and to make easy access to every facility
which a man having without any struggle. It is the need
of the time that women will come ahead for the sake of
her recognition and create her importance in existing
society.
PROBLEMS:
After
gender diagnosis we collect the information that women
are the main effective creatures of this discrimination
and which creates more problems for them and for their
household activities. For the explanation of its
discrimination we have to code some examples about women
inequality.
In our
society man is the commanding person and has the power
to enjoy all the leisure of his life on the other hand
he is the dominating person of our society.
Which
creates inferior complex in women and they considers
that they have no importance in their house and society.
Some practical
considerations, how the differences practiced on the
basis of gender
-
Parents
have the attitude to give importance in every matter
to their boy child than their girl child. They
prefer to give good and delicious food to their boys
than their girls.

Parents
create recreational opportunity only or especially
for their boys and the abilities of their girls
become rusty.

In
these areas mostly parents prefer to admit their
boys in English medium schools and their girls’
forces to get education in Urdu medium schools due
to the gender inequality and discrimination, if they
ready to educate their girls.

Female
got less income from their construction labour than
the man wages. They both work equally whole day.
Women treated with this behavior due to the gender
inequality.

Majority
of the parents do not like to educate their girls
more than matriculation because they consider their
girls are the mainstay of her mother.

Gender
discrimination works in those families where male or
female has to do work in any institution but when
they come back to
their home, male uses to take rest but the women has
the duty to prepare food for her family members and
to take care for her kids.

Male
tailor takes Rs.120 as his stitching cost but female
takes only Rs.75.Female faces this discrimination
only on the basis of gender inequality.

If
any person wants to organize an organization and
they wants to work with women and on gender
equality. But they act against this equality because
in their staff they like to appoint only male not
female. It means first of all we have not equality
in our team.

In
decision-making girls not consider very important
and their suggestion is also being neglected by her
parents and husband. It is only on the basis of
gender discrimination.

It
is the system of traditionalists to isolate their
women from every decision and impose their own will
or decision on their girls without including their
decision.

In
every arbitration the decision of male considers
right and no one can claim about that decision but
we did not see a female in any arbitration. She is
unable to give any decision even about herself.

Man
does not give importance to the decision of their
wives about the adoption of family planning methods
and they do that what they want. It is also the
discrimination with women.

In
our society motivators have the attitude to motivate
only women about family planning and the adoption of
contraceptives to reduce her family but not contact
with man which is the main reason of population
growth.
These
are the some examples by which we can evaluate easily
the role of women and discrimination in any area.
