Information
regarding the importance of oral health is the main
cause for poor oral health and the people can only
approach to the dentists only when they have serious
problems. Further, the dentists are of different types
but the following the main. Qualified dentists, they are
very expensive, present in the main cities and beyond
the financial affordability of the poor community.
Dentists, they are not qualified but remain sometime
with qualified dentists, got skills from fathers, or
brothers or friends), they are present in poor areas and
providing oral treatment for the nominal charges which
most of the time involve the people in more or severe
problems. All qualified or non-qualified people only
providing the treatment but according to our approach it
important to work on preventive rather curative health.
In keeping this approach, AIM started this program with
our children attending our educational centres and
community attending AIM’s community based health
centres. AIM keep intentions to develop a low cost
treatment centre with the objectives to create awareness
among the community about the need and importance of
oral health to safe them from oral problems before time
and also to have cheap treatment cost. AIM is also
planning to give awareness to school children.
