What We Do ? { Reproductive Health and Rights Awareness }
Gender planning is a positive and practical response to the need for more effective and equitable policy for the reproductive health and rights. It is based on the rationale that because women and men play different roles and have different access to and control over resources in society, they have different needs. By incorporating this rationale into problem diagnosis, consultation and strategies for intervention, gender equality in every field of life helps to base policy and planning on the realities of women and men’s lives, and therefore to promote more responsive interventions which better meet their rights of reproductive health.

We need to foster awareness, give people training about the sexual matters especially about the reproductive health. More than information, intentions and attitudes it should make space for people to improve and to feel empowered to perform such behaviors.

The most popular method for doing this is to offer workshops. That is why we have the initiative to organize such workshops and to deal with race prejudice, gender empowerment, reproductive health, sexual matters related to young women and men, reproductive rights etc. The focus here is on the individuals, couples, male or female, but this approach still does not take into account the structural suitability. AIM is providing women awareness regarding the following reproductive rights.

1. Simply it is just like existing human rights

2. Reproductive right is the right of all couples and individuals to decide freely and responsibly the number, spacing and timing of their children, and to have the information and means to do so

3. The right to make decision concerning reproduction free of discrimination, coercion and violence.

4. The right to attain the highest standard of sexual and reproductive health

5. The right to services and information that make this possible for the sexual and reproductive health.

AIM is providing services regarding the reproductive health on the limited scale in its resources but the need and demand is much more for this program. According to the women, if they have awareness and services for the reproductive health their many social and economic problems will be solved.
