Living conditions of Ghalilabad Faisalabad
AIM’s TB awareness and treatment program lead to other
development projects, like the following.
The area and need identified by a person (Amanat) father of
Rahat (former TB patient, registration
number 618,she is completed her treatment
and studying in 8th grade).
Amanat shared the situation of his area in
the evaluation meeting and wishes that he
will work voluntarily for AIM in his area.
He organized a meeting with his community on
February 20,2005 in Ghalilabad colony.35
persons participated and the meeting was
very decisive. Community identified that
poor sanitation is the great problem for
them, their many social, health and economic
problems are due to poor sanitation.
Community shared that they are in great
problems but due to their limitations they
are helpless to take initiative to find
solution for it. They agreed for the
contribution in the form of money, services
and material. The working strategy is
prepared like this.
1. Feasibility study of the both streets by AIM’s technical
staff to find following facts.

Total length of the both streets (number
33 and 34).2280 ft.

Total houses/homes(117)
-
Total families(292).
-
Total cost of two lanes(33 and 34).
2. Feasibility study will present in the community meeting
with total estimated cost and total
construction time and to find the
community’s contribution as they agreed to
contribute.
AIM’s technical staff conducted feasibility study on
February 21,2005 and preparing their report
for community meeting.
